About Camphill FoundationMission, Vision & Values
The Camphill Foundation receives and expends funds for charitable and educational purposes to promote the moral, physical and mental wellbeing and progress of humanity. Inspired by the heritage and achievements of the Camphill Movement, the Camphill Foundation seeks to provide high-impact financial support for the development and implementation of new initiatives that foster our values.
The Foundation has historically supported the growth and development of communities that have focused on special education and social therapy, adult education and vocational training, agriculture and horticulture. These fields of activity are chiefly for and with persons who are disabled mentally, socially, or otherwise in need of special care. Building on the foundation of our history and expertise, we offer our donors and grantees unique opportunities to invest in creating equality, community and fully meaningful lives for people with disabilities, and in promoting dignity.
Our goal is to connect with individuals and organizations who share our commitment to dignity for all people and to working collaboratively to foster meaningful lives and sustainable communities for all people.
By the year 2020, Camphill Foundation aspires to:
- Foster innovative applications of the Camphill model in a wide variety of community settings
- Help individuals and organizations transform their practices and services for persons with disabilities by learning and adopting Camphill’s highly effective approaches
- Increase grants to individuals and organizations by 50% in the United States
- Increase global grant making by 20%
